May Peace Be Upon You!

An Introduction

I do not wish to write a long introduction. I merely wish to explain the history of my project, the objective of it, and the various perceptions I have held in view with regard to Islam.

The Quran and the hadith(words of the Prophet) has to be read, not only with the tongue and eyes, but with the brightest light of our intelligence, and even more importantly, with the purest light that our conscience can give us. It is in this very spirit that I would like my readers to approach this website.

It is important for me to make this personal confession. In this age, an age of capitalism and westernization, it is extremely unfashionable for me as a young man to speak of religion or spiritual peace or anything regard to Islam. I am currently living in an age in which words like mine will only draw forth hatred, envy, pity or contempt, even by the people around me.
Sometimes I have considered this task to be too difficult for me - the double task of understanding the Quran and hadith, managing HTML for this website, and relating my life experiences to my readers in a logical and the most easy to read format. Then I have blamed myself for the lack of courage and I must admit, many at times, I felt like giving up.

A few episodes of accidental circumstances at last dictate my decision. Firstly, I ask myself if there was any need for me in creating this website. I believe that a man's life is subject to his own inner thoughts and feelings. Afterall, every person have their own personal experiences in which they grow, inwardly or outwardly. For me, I had many sleepless nights in which I ponder and contemplate about this fleeting world and the various tests of life, and I wonder how I can benefit mankind in my own little ways.
Secondly, even if there are many other good books and websites regarding Islam, at times, that knowledge is not being passed around to the masses. This could be because some books may appear too thick to be read or people are merely unsure what is a good and proven Islamic website. And it is partly due to this, that I decide to create a website that has short straighforward articles with clear and fluent meaning.
Thirdly, most of my articles will mainly be based on my own life experiences as a muslim teenager. And as I am a teenager myself, perhaps I can associate with the younger generations better, than let say, compared to the strict uncle with the rotan on his hand.
Lastly, in that whole process of journeying through the spiritual world, my soul found a certain joy and peace. And I wish for every single reader to find their own spiritual peace as well, as they seek understanding on the voice that speaks in a tongue above that of any mortal man. The embodiment of that voice could be found in the Holy Quran.
If in any way that I have helped my readers even understand any meaning or appreciating the beauty of Islam, then I would humbly claim that I had justified my attempt in creating this website. InsyaAllah.

Each of my article will be backed up with extensive research and logical reasoning. Take note that every article will be based on other people's works, with some minor alteration. Before each article was posted, a thorough revison and edition was done to ensure accuracy.

One final word to my readers, like many young Muslim, I am neither a scholar of Islam nor any Imam(spiritual leader). If you find anything in this website to criticise, please let it not spoil your enjoyment of the rest. On the other hand, if there's anything that pleases you, please write to me. With your encouragement, I can know that my effort has not been in vain. My very first post is titled "Knowledge: the pleasure of learning". To me. it's an honour and privilege to be able to spread the message of Islam. With that, I prayed for all of us for strength and guidance.
